At the Workshop on Engineering Service-Oriented Applications and Cloud Services, I presented my insights on the transition that is happening in industry. From monolithic data architectures to decentralised, data product-based alternatives. This transition presents many challenges, in particular, our paper focuses on the changes to traditional metadata management and how we can learn from the microservice movement in software development.

As an invited speaker at Mercedes-Benz’s internal architect conference ‘Hey Architect! 22’, I presented my insights on internal data markets, data meshes, data products and in particular how to design metadata management solutions within these new approaches.
